Beyond luck, it has seemed like a very brutal year with the officials. The easiest example was Zajac getting his nose broken on a non-boarding call and then the Devils going on a 5-3 PK because they got an extra minor penalty on the ensuing fight when both guys immediately dropped the gloves.

As for tonight, I don't know if I should hope the team wins and gets back in the playoff race or loses for better a draft pick...

Honestly Zachas been playing a lot better lately. He's shooting more(thank god). Ever since he was scratched that one game, there hasnt been a shift of his where i havent not noticed him on the ice. I'm getting more and more excited about zachas future every game. I cant wait to see what happens next year when we add speers' speed and possibly Mcleod's as well. imagine speers wood and blandisi/mcleod on a line. Easily the fastest line in the nhl. Also Is anyone else excited to see what bastian can do? he just seems like one of those players who game doesnt translate well in the juniors. 6"4 gonna be fun to finally have a good net front presence who can reek havoc. Havent had a good one of those since clarkson.

I dunno, a 25 goal scorer at 5 mil a year ain't bad, especially for a team that can't score for poop. I mean if we got the right offer I'd trade him, but I wouldn't just give him away.
